About the Author
Born on 6 November 1949 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, SriM was originally Mumtaz Ali Khan, raised in a Muslim family. As a youth (age 19) he embarked on an intense spiritual quest that culminated in becoming a disciple of Sri Maheshwarnath Babaji and being initiated into the Nath tradition. After years in the Himalayas, he returned to found the Satsang Foundation, promoting interfaith harmony, education (notably Satsang Vidyalaya and Peepal Grove School), and spiritual outreach. He speaks extensively at global institutions (WHO, IIM, IISc, Google), and has authored several books, including Journey Continues (2017), On Meditation (2019), and others on the Upanishads. In recognition of his lifelong contributions to spirituality and education, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2020
