Dr Keith Souter studied Medicine at Dundee University, Scotland and then moved to Hull, England to work in cardiology. A few years later when scribbling prescriptions failed to satisfy his creative cravings he bought a second-hand typewriter, became a part time physician and started writing medical books, magazine articles and some newspaper columns. Later still, he turned to writing fiction and books on health and general non-fiction and has authored over twenty books.
